Dyan was telling a fascinating story about Grant and the "interviewer" interrupted her mid-sentence. I always cringe when we get to see these fascinating stars from the golden years of Hollywood and then they get talked over by some young, not very professional interviewer. Frustrating to watch. But of course Dyan was very sweet and lovely, as she always is.

Love Cary Grant. His movies are excellent. The ones with Pasty Drake and Hitchcock are some of his best.

It was known in Hollywood that the Cannon/Grant marriage was an arrangement -- he wanted a child and she wanted a career (she was stuck in TV guest spots until they married and three years later she landed Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice). They both got what they wanted, plus a beautiful daughter, and Cannon proved that she had real talent (two Oscar nominations).

This interviewer says Dyan and Cary were married for four years, but everything I've read says they were married for two years. I appreciate that she's won two Oscars, but I dislike hearing her speak of him, saying he took things from other stars to become Cary Grant. HTF would she know that, there's nothing comparable with Cary Grant from any of those other stars, he was brilliant out of the GATE.
