Carol O'Connor was such an excellent actor. He expressed so much with his facial expressions to tell right where his character was at emotionally. Beautiful work.

1:23 -- Brilliant little subtle facial expression change from Jean Stapleton. She's showing a slight transition into a smile just before calling. The fact that Archie said "do whatever you want" was as if to indicate to her that he actually had nothing to hide, which put her briefly at ease. Little things like that really show just how brilliant of an actress she was.

Well that was truthful. And well said. In a marriage the one stability is counting on your partner and like that you can’t count on them anymore. My finale words to my partner were I can trust you to cheat and that is just not a trust I’m willing to live with .

Absolutely..Dishonesty..
My EX was in love Before we married with another..
Had he been Honest and told me BEFORE We both waisted 9 years together..I could and would have accepted that..
The Lady he loved was, Is a beautiful person..I knew her..
They are still together today..
I am happy for them both..
But he waisted so much of Our lives..being dishonest..

All problems need to be resolved within the marriage. Or with a marriage profile.

I made me so sad to hear Archie call Edith a "dingbat". How demeaning!! There was nothing funny about it.
