Welcome to episode 2 of Bangkok Michelin Eats! This time, I’m diving into one of Bangkok’s hidden gems—Lay Lao, a Bib Gourmand recipient that’s been serving authentic dishes from Thailand’s Isaan region for over a decade.
First up, I couldn’t resist their Deep Fried Sun Dried Pork Belly, coated in Lay Lao's secret sauce. Crispy, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, it had a perfect balance of sweet, umami, and basil. Then came the showstopper—Crab Meat in Red Curry. The coconut flavor and fresh vegetables were incredible, and the sweet crab meat was the star of the dish.
Definitely worth the 1600 Rupees! Afterward, I couldn’t pass up the exotic fruits on the street—perfect end to a memorable meal! If you're ever in Bangkok, don't miss this Michelin-worthy spot!
