BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO KISLEV IN TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER III - TUTORIAL

Total War: Warhammer III is upon us, and what better way to begin this new adventure in Total War history than to help you ease into this new and dark world, and provide you with some of my own experiences here? In this video, I share with you the most important parts of playing as the Kislev faction The Ice Court, led by legendary lord Tsarina Katarin, and guide you through the beginning stages as you set your eyes on the cities and territories surrounding Kislev and the Great Orthodoxy.

Kislev is a faction inspired by various Eastern European nations and civilizations, but you'll find that quite a bit of magic and folklore has been added here. If the giant bears weren't enough, then the gun carrying swordsmen might do the trick. Or perhaps the Ice Queen herself will tempt you to conquer the world as Kislev itself? Kislev is so wildly more difficult than Cathay or Khorne! I feel like I'm beset on all sides at all times and never catch a break no matter how many armies I add at any given time.

It's incredible how my ass was kicked exactly the way you commented at the beginning, I expanded too quickly and every time there seemed to be 7 different factions ready to invade me, and all of them much more advanced at the beginning, I think I'll adopt the skirmish mode at the beginning, thank you

I’ve played Total war from Rome to WH3 and this is the hardest faction I’ve played, I’ve lost the campaign three times and that never happened to me before normally get long campaign completed at around 200 turns but I’m only surving 70-80 turns and to make it worse everything played out differently each time. I’m actually really enjoying getting my arse kicked something different from the normal strategy of slow expansion and building for growth and then income. Got to really figure this one out thanks for the tips 🙏

Literally been playing the game for 2 days now and have died 4 separate times lol thought normal would be fine for me as a total war veteran....I was soooo wrong

I’m currently on my 4th Kislev campaign (very hard) and it is very hard. Everyone declaring was on me left and right, minor kislev factions getting wiped off the map by turn 2-10, and the orthodoxy always outpacing me in supporters while meanwhile I am broke and just trying to get armor piercing units so I don’t get run over by armor (evil dryads are a bitch early game). About to take a break and try a different faction. Maybe I need to turtle harder and focus on faith/walls until my first two provinces are grown.

I took everything but praag made peace with the ropsmen and later confedrate all kislev

while this is quite informative there inaccuracies in the devotion and supporters part, devotion is not the support of the people just the peoples faith since you need devotion to enact invocations, the gaining of devotion is correct since you gain it from fighting and by building orthodoxy oubliette and hallowed forests but you do not lose devotion attacking fellow kislev factions, you only lose supporters which is -2 per fight and the only way to gain supporters is through the invocations and the orthodoxy oubliette building chain
