I was looking for a beginners guide for the game since I just bought it on sale on Steam with some DLC. My brother also said that we could probably do a coop story mode or skirmish modes so thats interesting.

As a new player this game cost me allooot to unlock every faction. Btw you don't need to do that, you have allot of factions and commanders with the base game, it was more of a personal preference, but I have to say giving all the triple A failures with 60£+ even with all I paid to unlock all factions it was so worth it. Maybe for veterans who played hundreds of hours or even thousands would not seems so but for me as new it was worth every penny which is rare these days in gaming, huge amount of content and so much fun, I can't put it down lol. Hard to understand the mixed reviews on steam. Thank you for the guide!

Dont listen to these people. Faster is better. Went from a 30min video to 15. I think people forgot they can change speed or simply rewind and pause at will, its a video.

A possibly very useful tip for absolute beginners that i think was not mentioned in the video:
Make sure that the individual units in your starting army are not completely wiped out early on. There are some enormously useful and strong units in it, e.g. artillery etc., which you can only recruit much later. If they fall, you cannot replace them with the same for the time being, which can make the early battles more difficult. If you take care of them and let them survive, they will also level up with each battle and become much stronger later in the game.
If you mess up in battle and get flanked, sometimes it's better to use some cheap, replaceable archers to bodyblock the flanking enemy and protect your more valuable range units (like artillery) until your meele units make it back to support.
