I’m pro manual just like you but it’s not a myth. The 10 speed Mustangs are quite a bit faster than the equivalent manual mustangs. It’s not just about shifting but about the close gear spacing of the modern 8 and 10 speed transmissions.

I’m 69, and I just bought my first Mustang GT Premium package, performance pkg, and active exhaust. I Absolutely love it, only thing I added was tint, and will be buying a cover. Enjoy your beauty.

The night Pony package comes with different black wheels. Those wheels you have are base.

Beautiful car! The performance pack gives you a bigger spoiler, engine bay cross brace and a full hand brake lever among other things (better brakes).

The car looks fantastic in Race Red!!! Being your first brand new car I suggest you get Paint Protection Film (PPF) on the front of your car to protect the paint from road debris and rocks. I have all my vehicles cars, trucks & motorcycles installed with PPF. The company 3M that makes the film guarantees zero damage to your vehicle/paint being hit by a 1” x 1” rock at 140mph.
I was commuting to work early one morning when a Toyota in front of me had its muffler come off the car and slammed into the front of my Corvette going 70mph. The PPF protected my car. I had to replace the bumper PPF because it was totally cut up but my paint and body were totally unscathed!!! Insurance also pays you on PPF if in a car accident. Plus you can ceramic coat on top of the film and it looks fantastic and the highest grade of PPF has
“Self-Healing” on most scratches that occurs from gravel debris. So very much worth covering the entire front end of the Mustang GT!!!!
You may want to install Kooks Headers 1 7/8” with sport cats. Most S650 Mustangs are picking up 33-40 WHP and swap out the resonator with an H-pipe that upgrades another 10 WHP but definitely enhances the deeper V8 muscle car tone. The stock cat-back is surprisingly very good. I believe I saw on the video that you have the active-exhaust (AE) option which is very nice, no need to upgrade the cat-back but definitely do the H-pipe from Steeda, or BMRP, or Borla, etc. I always do that & headers as a minimum. Enjoy the S650!!! Ford Engineers upgraded >113 areas over the previous model S550 Mustang. So a significant improvement over the 6th generation Mustang. It is very obvious when you drive the two cars back-to-back!!!

Beautiful car! After you wear out those tires, replace them with 19" wheels staggered set up: 19x10 +35 285/35/19, 19x11 +50 305/35/19. Meanwhile, you can do a slight drop with springs. Don't drop it too much. I have two S197's that eat front tires after dropping 1.25". I should have installed alignment kits, but I'm too lazy.

Congratulations. I feel the same way. Last of the V8 Pony cars? I had to buy my first mustang as well. Rapid Red, 6 speed convertible. 56 yrs old in Oklahoma. Enjoy!!!
