Back in those days it just made sense to work heel. Look at the roster. In the singles you had austin, rock, taker. In the tags you had the Hardy’s and edge and Christian, in the womens you had Trish and Lita. The baby face spots were all taken. So do what hhh did. Be the heel so that you’re going to be the guy fighting the guys.

No doubt he was a great heel only if had more creative/writer's like Vince Russo more intense, storytelling, segments and memorable matches in his heel run as Undisputed Champion in 01/02. Even his rise as a rookie babyface run in 99/00 on the rise as a main eventer in the Attitude Era Breaking down the Walls 🔥🔥🔥
