Good job shrinking the "F" out of that piece but I'm wondering by just using a roll over die on 3/4 of an inch on each piece and weld in the middle of the rollovers to each other. Be quicker no!

why not just make a paper pattern, that can be used for both sides and templates for the curves? seems that would be a lot easier. you should file your edges first...

Why do you have vise grips on the shrink stretcher? Just a place to keep them or is there a need to squeeze the 2 sides together?
