Dragon Quest III HD-2D | TGS 2024 Hands-on Impressions | Switch

Square Enix might have had a bit of a smaller booth than usual at Tokyo Game Show 2024, but they still brought some of their biggest titles of the year, including Dragon Quest III HD-2D. We got a chance to check out the Nintendo Switch version of the game on the show floor, check out the booth and more!

I played the NES original back in the day, and again when the Switch got the mobile phone ports a few years ago... but this looks to blow all of those out of the water! I can't wait to revisit this one when it releases this was definitely my favorite of the trilogy.

Very much looking forward to DQ III HD-2D. Probably one of my most anticipated games of the past 2 years, just because it is DQ. I will most likely try to obtain a physical Switch version.

The characters proportions still look a bit weird to me, the team looks too big in relation to the environment, and the enemies too small, this is exactly the opposite than in Octopath Traveler, which is practically the precursor of this format, they should have followed it in that regard.
