Can you set it so that you can see your own party during the battles? My main gripe about the DQ series is how you can only see the enemies facing you

I've fully finished DQ3 multiple times (minus some of the medal collecting). Always the Hero and 3 Sages lol. It looks so good. I'm gonna reserve judgement until it drops, because I heard something about not being able to choose your targets? Weird change but maybe they were doing autobattle and it got lost in translation. But otherwise it sounds good!

Were you able to see if they implemented Personalities? Pachisi Track? Or Monster Medals? Not to say that they won't happen if you didn't notice them, they are probably not implemented yet... But if you could confirm it?

battle being first person ruined it for me, why even bother spending this long remaking a game to use outdated rpg mechanics from the 80's

I'm just a little upset that the environments don't look pixelated like that of an SNES game. That's the look I was expecting them to go for, with these HD 2D titles. It's what made octopath traveler look so good

Voice acting? That's great! I honestly wasn't expecting it, since none of the games prior to 8 had voice acting before. It's a welcomed feature.

Is there an option to play battles in third person and you can actually see characters act out their attacks and spells?

Doesn't look like it, but I thought I'd ask.

I know first person battles are just how old DQ games are and for whatever reason they just don't update. Except for DQ7, where they did update the battles to first person on the 3DS remake when the original ps1 version was first person. The sole exception so far.

Loved DQ8 and later in this series, but first person battles just arn't my thing.

I'm super stoked for everyone else though. Looks like a solid release otherwise~
