Did anyone get demoted or fired for this debacle? Because it really seems like that needs to happen, or they're just going to chainsaw themselves in the foot again.

If you run 7700x in admin mode it also gets faster. This is lack of optimization on windows. Linux gets better uplifts. Either amd should make XT variants or they should redo the microcodes.

Communication between different departments of a corporation is a constant difficulty at pretty much every corporation. It tends to be nowhere near optimal at MOST corporations. The bigger and more complicated the company, the more likely there are to be problems in communication (or misunderstandings, or a lack of understanding) between different departments.

It's actually quite difficult to organize a company and to train them to communicate in an efficient way, and what AMD is doing as a company is unusually difficult and complicated, in an extremely competitive industry.

Also, a lot of these people may be great at the primary requirements of their job, but they don't always have the best communication skills.

Hopefully amd learns their lesson with zen6, this is a huge blunder. Amd is supposed to learn from their mistakes, this is similar to when amd launched bulldozer and the previous architecture was performing just as good, and even better in some cases.

they should also take this failure as a warning to the radeon team. Having communication among engineering teams is vital.

I hope rdna4 is a success and it manages to hit 7900xt levels of performance for cheaper

This is why I'm not holding my breath for the 9800X3D. My expectations for a performance increase are really low, so the price better be good!

That launch was dogshit.
I will get a 9700X a little later when the price drops as I run Linux and the 9000 series seems to be made for it.

Well this sucks because Zen 5 is a complete departure from previous Zen architectures. The cores are laid out completely differently. This is so disappointing because of the larger L1$, 2 ahead branch prediction, more ALUS, etc. I dont know why the performance is so lackluster. Its not like AMD is pulling an Intel skylake, they really did overhaul the cores and architecturex

I've never seen an honest product launch. Slow news cycle? Also get used to small uplifts they're already pushing the silicon too much. You can't compensate for material limitations with core design at these scales. Oh and they tested the Ryzen 7000 series the same way people just didn't get outraged about the difference between the YouTube test results and what AMD advertised.

Windows is a bloated mess if windows was lighter and didn't have all the nonsense mess and was stable at all we wouldn't be in this mess

When all the fanboys slowly start to realize that these companies are all the same. The Nvidia AMD war that's going on is stupid. You're literally fighting over cousins trying to one up each other. Yeah, Jensen is the cousin of Lisa.

Get ready for a 5% uplift on the 9800X3D, since they learned from their mistake and pulled the 7800X3D off the shelves. 😡

Not even testing the 7700x before.. they really not a company of engineers anymore

I’ve been buying Intel stock. The lower it goes, the more I buy. TSMC is overrated. AMD is way overrated.
