Glad that you’ve been able to come to terms with accepting same-sex attracted folks. It took me a long time as well. It takes courage but it’s the right thing to do.

This is fantastic news! I never even heard of Andy Stanley at all! So glad that Andy Stanley is at least listening to the testimonies of gay people. We also need to recognize that this is just gonna take time. Imagine how people of color felt being segregated in church and how it took the church time to adjust.

So even though Andy isn't fully embracing LGBTQ+ rights I am happy that he is taking it seriously. Are they broadcasting the conference? That would be amazing if they would.

Has the drop in viewership been due to the algorithm?

It would be a fatal error to identify sex with the sexual act, as is often done. A denial of the sexual act is not denial of sex.
Sex-life is possible, even much more intense, without the sexual act.
Even absolute chastity, of body as well as of spirit, predicates a sexual life. Chastity is through and through a sexual phenomenon—it is one of the directions taken by sexual energy. Man’s integrity, his “whole-ness, ” is best maintained in chastity and hence sex-energy is not expressed in the fractional function of the sexual act—there is not even the thought of such fractionalization.

I love all people of all races, ethnicities, black, yellow, red, and I love everyone because Christ taught me to love, but confirming homosexuality is not God's work.🙏🏻

Affirming LGBTQ+ is not the same as accepting LGBTQ+ people. I go to a church that has several gay attendees who are following Christ, and they feel very accepted, but they also understand that the LGBTQ+ lifestyle is not in line with God's ultimate plan for anyone's life. This same statement can be made for any group of people struggling with any type of sinful lifestyle. It is never a sin to feel a pull towards something. However it is definitely a sin to act on certain desires. Saying "I don't know" is a strange answer biblically. The Bible is very clear on this. The homosexual Christians I have a relationship with appreciate the acceptance and also say they appreciate and need the clarity of lines that are drawn. They say that blurring those lines only makes their journey of overcoming more difficult. I am straight but have areas in my life that are ingrained as part of who I am that can also easily lead to acted out sin. I am trying to imagine attending a church that blurred the lines on my sin and gave me permission to dive into my sin. It would be devastating to my walk with God.
