"carry like 10 mechanical pencils, you don't want to be caught without one" preach, PREACH as a fellow mechatronics engineer whose professors are awfully fond of hand drafting i can say this is one of the simplest yet most useful piece of advice for someone getting into mechanical or mechatronics engineering

This is the one youtuber who uses their stuff for a little bit before buying the bigger and better one but you are the only that uses it until it breaks. Love that

Bruh, I didn’t even graduate and just jumped straight into the industry with enough knowledge and passion to learn more. Mechanical pencil and a notebook will always be your friend. Trust me taking notes of everything you do to reproduce it or having a random idea is always needed.

As a mechanical engineering student I vouch for the accuracy of this video! Awesome thumbnail btw 💙

I love to see used items in these videos. It shows you REALLY know what you are showing us. You’ve used these items for so long they are falling apart but you love them so you are going to keep using them. Honestly amazing man. Thanks!!

Finally a video without all of the products being from sponsors. I appreciate someone who uses something for its full life (ie not getting a new water bottle bc its a little dinged up. Same goes for the charger and bag). I feel like so many tech and school influencers just load up these videos with sponsored products that arent even reasonable, like a $100 water bottle or fancy charger

im a biomedical engineering / math major. im a senior, and i got an ipad during my sophomore year. i absolutely do not regret it at all. all of my notes since then are all in one spot. not to mention i have to frequently download pdfs for quizzes or hw, so i can just write right on them, then airdrop right to my laptop! coming from an android user, the ipad is a game changer for engineering students. so many professors give pdfs of their lectures, so you can take notes right on then!

Padayon fellow future engineer. I'm also specifically a Mechanical Engineering student on my last year now. Good luck to everyone!

This was honestly fantastic! I have been thinking about going into either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and have been looking for a video like this for a few weeks now. Quick, concise and straight to the point.

I feel so identified with your EDC I'm also studying mechanical engirneering and I have practically the same EDC but with the Samsung Ecosystem, I bought the Galaxy Tab S8 in february and it's been a game changer for me, with my calculator and my Sony Linkbuds S they are my daily driver 👌

I'm also an engineering student and I agree with everything here except for the mac because of the software I use. All of the software can be run on mac but it is optimized for windows and work terribly on mac

I like this video a lot. I believe this setup doesn't only apply just for mech eng or engineering in general, but also for most of the people that I know that do the hard sciences or math.

Lmao you just pulled out the same darn blue folder Ive used for my entire ME degree (now CE)! It’s saved me more than a few times and has become a running joke in the family 😂 can 100% reccomend!

What sort of engineering softwares do you use on your Mac as a Mech Eng. student? The industry standard softwares (like Solidworks for CAD and Ansys for simulation) are mostly available on Windows only. Do you find yourself restricted with your MacBook when it comes to those engineering softwares?

I love paper because it shows you've been working. Kinda like beat up shoes

Minus the calculator, I use pretty much the same stuff for law school. Apple just makes the best stuff from the graduate level perspective

Put a loop on the water bottle and attach it with a carabiner on the backpack itself
