The century's longest partial lunar eclipse will take place on November 19. The partial lunar eclipse of November 2021 will last 3 hours, 28 minutes, and 23 seconds to be exact, and 97% of the Moon will be covered in Earth's shadow. NASA says it will be an almost total lunar eclipse. The forthcoming eclipse will also be the longest partial lunar eclipse in 580 years.

The eclipse can be seen from Oceania, the Americas, Eastern Asia, Northern Europe, and Indonesia. It will be visible from all the 50 states of the US from 02:19 EST to 05:47 EST.

I remember back in the late 1970's there was a massive lunar eclipse, we stood in our backyard (in Miami) and watched it pass through, it was massive, the best lunar eclipse I'd ever seen. The moon was HUGE in the sky.

What I admire about your videos are the graphics and explanation, and they are always outstanding. Anyway, can't wait for the astronomical event!

As usual, great explanation, and great graphics. You are in a league of your own. Stay modest, but in my opinion, you are the best at this. I always learn something, and enjoy the learning process. Please remake your first video, the one on quantum mechanics basics. (I need to learn more.) Thank you very much! Swasti.

You might want to use a telescope anyway to try and catch the space vehicles coming and going.😉

I would like to suggest you that rather than giving subtitles with background music it'll be okay if you tell the events so that we can see the video with it.... And as always your videos are so informative. I'm so into in such kind of stuff.. Thank you ...🙃

I was out at 2:20 and now nearly 5, It's still going. A nearly clear sky from Avon Park. Fl. at 5. I was living on a sailboat, in Miami, in the 70s' and caught that one also

While it's obvious there's nothing 'new' presented, I appreciate the extra information given along with the base topic as I never bothered to learn about the reddening event and now I know. Thanks!

Edit: That includes the solar/lunar - lunar/solar eclipse information. Good Stuff

Not sure the weather in the Atlanta area is going to be cooperating. I may get up to take a peek if it does.
