Palmer Luckey’s defense technology startup, Anduril Industries, is developing products he says the United States needs as a matter of national security. Anduril has already built surveillance systems for military and defense agencies and is now adding a drone-destroying capability to its product line. The company recently secured a contract to deploy its interceptor system in conflict zones overseas. But all of this makes Anduril, and Luckey, highly unusual in the tech industry, which has seen workers openly rebel against any work that would give surveillance capabilities to law enforcement or the military.

I'm cool with this. I have 20 years background in Support Engineer in IT and I'm a Democrat but i also Support the Military and feel like the better tech they have the better. Good on you Lucky keep up the work. I'm looking to relocate and would love to work for a company that supports and saves our military blood shed.

You only have as much liberty as you have privacy. The problem is that you can't unmake these things and there is now a rush to come up with the best possible spy systems.

Cute till it's carrying a weapon, and it will be (already is) configured to do so.

I could avoid that drone attack with the flip trick on my $25 drone.

This guy sounds excellent. I would invite him to the next big technology advancement to perhaps help administer it. This guy's work is worthy, protection from law enforcement and military is every US citizen's right.

That drone that smashes wouldn't be able to catch racing quads. Yeah it did good with a DJI sitting still.

The dude who built the drones sounds very exciting but if movies had shown me anything it’s that the enthusiastic technician/scientist always gets killed by its creation

😂
For real am glad technically is moving forward

The technologies are not at fault .. its always the ethics and honesty of the people using them that puts everyone at risk

building a pilot-less weapon system for the good of all of us - just ask the family (few that survived) of predator drone attacks. Remember we were told the predator drones would NEVER be armed - surveillance only.
