What is a RestoMod? Everything You Need To Know

What is a Restomod? They just don't make em like they used too... and we're talking about classic muscle cars. Restomod refers to restoration and modification of cars & in order for it to be a Restomod, it needs touches of modern day technology but still retain to the original styling of build. Restomods originally gained traction in the 1980's and thus a new age of car modification was born with the goal to get a competitive edge over the younger generation of cars. Better than new!

Does the term apply to japanese cars as well? Like a Japanese classic. Or does it specifically only apply to american muscle cars?
