I'm an avid typist and gamer myself, and I"ve had this keyboard for a few months now. Let me say that this thing is amazing. Typing on it is a breeze! It feels so great that it's actually addictive; you don't wanna stop typing on this thing! For gaming, I didn't really find the feel of the keys to make a lot of difference, really. I personally don't think switch types matter that much for gaming. I absolutely recommend this thing; it's amazing! I have the version with Blues (everyone should.)

I tested out a few mech keyboards and ended up getting the das with mx browns. I use it at the office so a quieter kb was necessary. Absolutely love it and the piano black finish is visually striking and sets it apart from the rest of the generic hp and dell keyboards in the office.

It takes 2 seconds to wipe the dust of every other week or so.

I got mine about 3 weeks ago, I'm finally typing with 10 fingers and actually enjoying it. Im currently at 12 wpm, but improving. I mainly use this keyboard for gaming.

I have one of these keyboards, it is awesome. I actually was granted a student discount for mine, dasKeyboard is a very friendly company. Typing on the keyboard is incredibly satisfying to say the least. I had actually ordered the dasKeyboard Ultimate, not the Ultimate S model but they sent the wrong one. I'm glad that they did because the non-silenced keys would have been too loud. I have had people do double takes at the keyboard, it satisfies my need to be ridiculous.

Typing this on my Das Keyboard ;) Using for about a year. Perfect. Click-clack - must have. If you're watching for new mechanical keyboard, you should get this one. Linus FTW!

seeing this makes me miss my old ibm ps/2 clicky keyboards. back in the late 90s and early 2000s i worked at a computer store where we kept a bunch of extra ibm mechanical keyboards because they were next to impossible to find new at the time.

I use a daskeyboard silent for gaming, and it is the best keyboard I have ever used. Everyone who says this isn't for gaming doesn't know what they are talking about. I find it has a great tactile response, and if you are even THINKING of getting a new keyboard, get one of these. Trust me, its worth it.
