Congrats! If you sit back on the seat, grip the tank with your thighs, bend your arms and put your hands mid way through the grips and relax your hands it’ll put less stress on your back and hands. I’m on an 08 R6 and it’s alot worse. Lol

Part of the brake-in period is loading the engine up so enough cylinder pressure seats the piston rings against the walls. Don´t worry about going to redline from time to time.

Glad to see you’re enjoying your new bike bro! I just bought my first bike about a month back 2003 GSXR 600 and couldn’t be happier with it.

Just picked up a 2018 gsxr600 myself.I rode all Honda CBRs in the past and have always hated suzuki, but now that I have one I love it lol I did a cat/servo/02 sensor delete, added a midpipe and an m4 exhaust.Sounds amazing.I got the delete sensors to plug in place of those to keep the F1 light off.Runs great as is but plan on getting a dyno tune and ecu flash in the near future to get max potential out of her.

Yup. The first time you ride a gixxer 600, "dude" is usually the first word everyone says.

Beautiful bike. I have an 07. GSXRs are relatively so comfortable, smooth, nimble and easy to ride (and get yourself into trouble); if the law really saw how one rides, being pulled over would be the least you'd expect them to do... just saying. I always wanted an R6 but after my GSXR Idk if I can live without the low end powerband being so full of torque (relatively speaking). Increasing your core strength (abs), legs and eventually your back (just comes from riding) will help a lot to not really feel as much weight on your wrists. Have fun, be safe (mostly)!

You don’t have to baby the bike. You can rip from 0 miles. Just like race teams do with new bikes! 😉

Amazing video!! Btw, "taking it easy the first 1000 miles" is just a myth... lol your Suzuki can take it. Best motorcycle ever.

I went with the zx6r, no regrets at all but I did like how the suzuki was. Ride safe welcome to the club.

Suzuki speedos are notoriously out of wack. When you were cruising on the highway at "95" you were probably doing more like 80. Unless you think all those cars that were traveling the same speed were also blasting lmao
