Starting on a 600cc - Embarrassing Moments, Regrets, and Thrills

One year pasts so fast! One year review of my 2017 Yamaha R6 and my riding experience this past year. As a new rider, we're often the ones to get too cocky quick and make mistakes. I've learned some valuable lessons, had more fun than I had ever experienced, and met some amazing people all thanks to motorcycles. I look forward to continuing my journey through life and (hopefully) make motorcycling a life long hobby.
To those car enthusiasts too worried, nervous, or afraid to straddle a motorcycle, I'm telling you all that it is perfectly understandable. However, you won't know what you're capable of until you try right?

if you drop your bike, that means you´ve learned something.

Everybody drops their bike, nothing to be embarrased about but for some reason it is lol.

Two types of motorcycle riders in the world. Ones that have gone down, and ones that will go down. Keep on riding bro!

I didn't know you have to steer your handlebars straight before stopping to avoid falling sideways. if you hadn't explicitly said that, I wouldn't have known. So thank you for helping others become safer riders. Definitely agree on the used first bike point.

Was a car enthusiast from the age of 15. At 18 i got my permit and a 06 Zx6r and it was my first bike. So glad i got into it.

Dropped my bike and picked it up like it was made from cardboard. I guess embarrassment made me stronger.

Man I dropped in a patrol station after filling it up, it was that slow drop, and everyone was looking at me, thank god it was in the black berry era, no social media.

Your closing words are very true. It's pointless to argue about which is better. Car or Bike, they're both awesome.

Bikes are more awesome though.

I rode my older brother’s bike (Kawasaki KZ400) briefly when I was in my early 20s. Then lost interest while I was busy finishing school and working. Fast forward 30 years and I come across some motovlogs on YT. The fire was reignited and before you know it I bought a 2018 Ninja 400 . I just recently had my first drop. Too much front brake with the front wheel turned at a stop sign. Even with the mistakes and humbling experiences, I think getting back into riding has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s added so much fun to my life. The hours just seem to pass so quickly when I’m riding. Now with the whole corona virus situation, I thank God I have my bike since it’s one of the few things I have left to do that brings me joy 😀😀. Ride safe ✌️

Just started riding early spring and it's way more fun than I expected. YouTube taught me a lot and the rest I'm learning as I go. Hope to see u on the road some day 👌

Just started riding at the age of 48 wanted to do it for years but other commitments etc. The sense of freedom it gives you feels great. Safe riding everyone

Just took on the same hobby about a month ago. Very interesting experience so far. Still have a lot to learn no doubt. I started out on a 2007 GSXR600 that had only 6699 miles. Previous owner had it for a little bit then lost interest in that style of bikes. Thanks for the video man!

If you're gonna buy you first bike and that be 600cc, at least make sure it has ABS. It will save you from most common newbi drops
