Thank you for a great video. Do I have to format/"wipe" my hard drive for it to be used with OMV? I have an 8tb external hard drive that's full, formatted to ExFAT, so formatting isn't really practical, however if love to be able to achieve this set up?

Very helpful video! Would be better with no background music, or just much much softer. Otherwise, great stuff.

Hi again ! I have some trouble using transmission in openmediavault.
After selecting the share folder on my external disk, i have this message when i save the configuration.

Failed to execute command 'export export LANG=C.UTF-8; omv-mkconf transmissionbt 2>&1' with exit code '2': 60: local: M3/SamsungM3/Telechargements: bad variable name

Do you have any idea ?

Thank you !

Please, I need help. ACL button is not available in order to grant permissions to debian-transmission system user. Button is greyed out. Reading forums here and there, it seems it is due to Non NTFS format of my SD card. Is that right? By the way, do you suggest using NTFS instead of FAT32? Thanks in advance.

Hi. New with raspberry pi. I have installed rasbian lite and then with script installed openmediavault. Everything went great (thanks to you. ). I installed putty before than your steps as to install omv by script. And as following you on putty user root and password openmediavault doesn't work. Should I update omv on putty as pi/raspberry combination or i am supposed to use root/openmediavault? Thanks

Excellent video Sir.
Questions:
Do you need a BitTorrent client for this set-up to work? I have no experience with BitTorrents and I'm concerned about online security.
Also, is this set-up capable of handling a 4TB drive? How about 2 4TB drives with mirroring?

Hi... thanks for the video.
Following your tutorial, the installed version of PLEX was the 1.12.1.4885 ... when I enter settings, it says there is an update and says I should do it manually.
Can you tell me how to do this update?
One more thing ... I tried to install the Trakt add-on, but I did not succeed.
I think it's because of the version.
Anyway, I would appreciate it if you could help me.

I have problems when starting the raspberry in the first installation of openmediavault I almost did not leave errors, but when I try to format the card and install it again, it does not let me change the root password or recognize the network card or anything to someone gives you some kind of error with the openmediavault system in the raspberry ??
