Welcome to The Blue Mouse Knits! Today I'll be teaching you how to pick up stitches along a vertical side edge. This is perfect if you need to pick up and knit stitches for along a sleeve, or pick up and knit a button band, or even pick up and knit a neckline. I demonstrate this on a stockinette vertical edge using a contrasting color so its easy to see. I am a continental knitter, but this will work just the same for you English knitters. I will explain basic pick up rates for knitting such as 2/3, 3/4, 1/2. So not only is this a demonstration of how to pick up and knit stitches, but also how to pick up stitches and skip 1. I demonstrate first how to pick up stitches with a knitting needle and then how to pick up stitches along an edge with a crochet hook.

i' m your fan from Australia, can you help me with this pattern : what is this mean? RS facing, begin at duckling’s Left Neck Marker, with yarn CD,
pick up and knit 4 sts evenly along row ends towards the Head Back
