This is a situation where the price is warranted, I think. I also believe the people should take something like this seriously. Like if you have a family, and you want a family Bible that will literally outlast you and your children... Consider something like this. I think it's great that Cambridge decided to do this project.

Two thumbs up first for the bible. What a bible! It is so schwuay! A definite bible for any altar! Secondly, I dig it on how you handle the bible. You could be a curator. When will you be doing the indepth review? I love to see the artwork.

Are these some of the same illustrations that you find in the humble lamb bibles?

I'm a little too old to purchase that. But it would make a great gift for a True Believer who is recently Married With Children. I could think of my nephew Joshua. He probably would be the only one who would be diligent enough to acquire all the information to fill out the genealogies of all the different family members. But other than him I don't see how that would be useful in my family LOL. Definitely not useful for me. I won't be filling something out that is that long and detailed not at my age anyway. Maybe if I was twenty-three and just starting out in my family marriage, I would do that but right now at 65. No thank you too much work. LOL But definitely beautiful Bible. It would make a great gift for a young family just starting out. Well thank you for sharing.

Beautiful Bible Tim, thank you for sharing. If people love the Gustave Dore artwork but not the price, B/N has a very nice hard bound KJV with Dore’s artwork for only $25.
