I am SO confused. Why did you walk around Bergen but NOT go over to the world famous BRYGGEN area, the old royal castle Håkonshall, and of course the most unique part of Bergen: the old wooden houses and narrow streets up in the hills??? You always kept getting close to the area but then just turned out around and started walking back to the boring uglier part of Bergen! I almost wanted to cry. You missed out on the best, prettiest most unique parts of the city, the areas that all Norwegians know as "typical" Bergen. This is like having a walking tour of Paris and not seeing Champs Elysse, the Eiffel Tower or Montmartre.

Very boring. Entering an electronic store and the hotel is uninteresting. How can the stores make a living, there are almost no people in the streets. I guess the only nice part is the harbour area.

My hometown used to be this way until it was "blessed" with multiculturalism and diversity. Now, there is crime and trash everywhere.

.. . .. . .. . Bergen is a terrible place; drug addicts in Nygaardsparken; beggars around the market place; often raining; very polluted air in Bergen's bay in the summer time when there are lots of cruise liners burning bunker fuel; prostitution on the streets in Nordnes; expensive hotels; isolated and insular attitude of local inhabitants because Bergen is so isolated on the West coast; horrendous parking problems in central Bergen; and the list goes on. There are far better places to visit that are far more interesting. Avoid Bergen; you will be disappointed with the weather - nearly always raining.
