I’ve bulged in every elk I’ve shot . Last year was number 13. I found the key is learning to hear what that bull is saying . If he’s got cows coming into estrus or in estrus he’s going to answer very aggressive as he has something to defend . This is the bull to challenge . If no cows in heat, he will still talk to you but won’t come to you unless you convince him that you have a cow in heat or, sit and cow call every hour . Once his cows bed he might come check you out.. nothing better than taking a calm bull and turning him into a savage

You are a master . I was calling bulls before there was any kind of calls to buy . I used grass calf cow calls . I’m 55 years old still have calling to go

Thanks for the great video and tips. Bought a call like that earlier this year and have been practicing. I found the grunts and chuckles are a lot easier and sound great. I had been using bugles with the latex strip over the mouthpiece. We’re heading to NW Colorado August 31st and opening day is September 2nd. This will be my 19th archery elk hunt. Really excited.

Great video, but I feel like the audio is pretty low; I guess it makes sense cause the calling is louder than he is talking and don't need to blow out anyone's ear drums.
