Calling them "dog man" is an improvement on calling them "Beast of...", but, you are very right that the more you dig into the subject, the more you realize the descriptions suggest a number of different creatures. As for the bi-pedal deer your friend saw, my first thought is a Sasquatch wearing a dear skin to stalk deer.

I believe the name they give to such cryptids is a Gugwe - a baboon looking type of bipedal creature.

Saw this image many years ago, and in the BF community it is well known . I believe that an actual creature image was caught . And, for some reason this image disturbs me more than any other, just because the of the creature's unusual and sinister appearance . It does appear to be holding something unidentified, and whatever it's holding is being held backwards with it 's butt towards the camers , and it quite clearly appears to have a tail protruding from it's haunches . Whatever this thing is, I don't wanna run into it ! day or night . Doesn't look too friendly ! ....LOL..Thanks Justin .

Thanks Justin for these brief stories of debate. I'm still really unsure of the dogman stories. That image of The Beast of Seven Chutes looks like it's holding an 'infant' sasquatch. There appears to be a head below its left shoulder, there also appears to be a right ear exposed. It's light colored with a gradual darker color towards the upper torso of this little figure, the branch with leaves breaks up the overall portions of the figure. The face does resemble a baboon; however, it could just be the angle of where the man was standing, for it to cast a shadow of the perceived 'snout'. It's an interesting image.

You don't need imaginary creatures in the woods to be scared anymore. Homeless encampments and portable meth labs have become problems on public land where I live. I carry a gun now when hiking or fishing because now you have to be prepared to kill someone to enjoy the outdoors. Be safe in the woods, be on the lookout for people who don't belong.
