Over my lifetime it has been my privilege to listen to Veterans of WW1, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam speak about their experiences. I watched a WW1 Veteran years ago lapse into a 100-Mile Stare as he started to recall France as he told me about lost friends. I have read printed diaries from men that served under George Washington and in the Civil war. I also have had the pleasure of meeting Medal of Honor Recipient Col Bernard Fisher before he died. I can remember a lady that had a small bench that sit next to where her husband was buried after they got his body back from the Pacific sometime during the 1950s. She sat on that bench for hours every day, rain shine even with snow on the ground until well into the 80s. Then one day I noticed that the old bench had rotted so bad her grandkids finally removed it years after she died. I'm a veteran myself, but I never left the US and just served sitting at a desk and finally got out. I'm proud of my service. Still, when I see a veteran I will always extend a hand and thank them! NEVER forget here in the US these freedoms we enjoy were purchased through the life's blood of men going all the way back to that horrible winter at Valley Forge!

Twenty two years retired army! This touched my heart and soul in a way that I cannot explain. Much love and respect for all of our men and women in uniform! Shout out to everyone that has taken a moment to thank a member for their service. It's such a wonderful feeling to hear the words: "Thank you for your service!" Don't stop letting our members how much we truly appreciate what they do!

As a woman married to a USAF Vietnam Vet- this brought me to tears too. So glad this Soldier was close enough to stage for Miranda to not only see, but to pick up & show it off to everyone! She's a badass- with an angel's heart. To any service member, past or present reading these comments- THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACRIFICE & SERVICE!!! YOUR COUNTRY LOVES EACH ONE OF YOU!!!
