Not asbestos, but plenty nasty. Please wear a mask when removing that!

But when in doubt get a garden sprayer and mix it with dawn soap. Spray the rug and bag it. Wear a respirator.

Asbestos was generally used in rigid tile. I'd say that is just an old rubber backed rug and the backing has deteriorated 😉

Time for a face mask . You don't need to be breathing in that dust.😊

Its old rubber or clay carpet pad. Gross, but not toxic.

Asbestos flooring was ridgid tile that looked a lot like modern vct tile.

First, asbestos floor tile is often identified by 9” squares. Age or date would be another clue. But if you’re not handling it day-after-day, not a problem. Lastly, it has to be airborne for you to inhale it. If you were to remove that rug and clean the glue substance off the tile and not disrupt the tile (e.g. break it up to remove it), there’s ZERO chance of it being harmful.
Have a nice day.

Not asbestos. I would still were a mask of some sort to protect against mold and other particulates.

Soak it with water and surfactant thr keep down dust before you pull. That's the first thing an abatement comp would do. And Wear a good half face respirator.
Dust masks don't seal well enough to help you.

Probably oil based exterior paint, you might want to deal with that ceiling issue first, looks like you will be learning how to shingle a roof

No asbestos there for sure. But you are 100% breathing in old formaldehyde that was used in the manufacture of that old carpet and backing material.

LOL! YOUR SAFE! NEVER SAW A RUBBER BACKED MAT THAT HAD ASBESTOS BEFORE AND I'VE HANDLE SEVERAL OF THEM. THEY WERE POPULAR IN THE 70s.

Another area of concern with building renovations besides asbestos is with paint made before 1978 with lead based chemicals, especially white paint.

Jo-jo, it's Mike Frame. I abated asbestos with my dad. DON'T, DON'T, bust up any plaster until you have a sample of the plaster tested. For more information, contact ACT (American Compliance Technology), your haz-mat "liquidators". Please. All my love, from Florida.

I was asked to leave a southern ag for asking if this woman could direct me to a cat house. No humor left in this world.

Where I live in Australia asbestos is usually found in sheet form in houses (most common as wall cladding) though I have seen small phone pits and numerous fuse box boards containing asbestos. The floor appears to be your standard floorboards. Here asbestos was phased out in the early 80's and stopped in 1987. Asbestos is a bit darker compared to the lighter cement sheet . As mentioned by others the rug appears to have deteriorated with age and not a worry.
