Petition to add a numeric sound score for volume.

Nothing on the road is louder than the Elantra N.

Weird. I found the Elantra N way more comfortable than the type r, the suspension is definitely more compliant, once you take it to mixed roads it's obvious. Unless you have a different suspension tune over there theres no comparison the suspension is more forgiving in the N. Seats are better and more adjustable as well with heating / cooling / memory etc

The interior for elantra n is not premium is to keep cost down to be affordable. Surely Hyundai can make it premium if they wanted but it wouldnt be affordable for many.

The Elantra N wasn’t octane learned in this video so the acceleration tests were slower than it is capable of

Braking distance is based on tire width not brakes

I can tell these guys rarely, if ever, track their cars.

I have elantra n and i always wanted the type r. In ph, its a MILLION difference so yeaaa, Type R has to be better but im happy with my Elantra n. But i would suggest to do a track review instead and lets see which one performs well.

Not fair. You should test 0-100km/h (0-60Mi/h) with launch control and 50-100km/h with NGB enabled.

They say the Honda better but for me the exhaust note is a game changer and they not far making the same power, I don’t want my car to sound like my father car 🤦🏾‍♂️

It is not a fair review bcoz Mackoy is the owner of Honda Type R being reviewed here. So, normally he will favor his own car in all aspects.

Also, Enlantra N/I30N has octane learning which it gives us limited boost and not an instant 18psi on boost.

I personally own I30N (in Australia) and I like the pops n bangs. I wouldn't spend more money for a civic Type R.

Elantra N is priced at PhP 2, 638, 000 or 45, 608.96 USD for the manual. A stark difference to Hyundai USA's price of only $33, 950. Tax rate for cars made outside of the Philippines are too high.

The interior of Hyundai Elantra N is way more nicer and modern than the civic type R.
Also, Elantra N is much more fun to drive.
My choice is Hyundai Elantra N.

Did you use the Paddle shifter in 60-100 kph for the Elentra N? (mid way pa ako)

Problem with Elantra N is that it only comes with the DCT transmission here in the Philippines whereas there is a variant with a 6-speed manual. Sure, automatic is practical for our city roads and it's 2024 but you're going to get this car to go vroom vroom and not to do lolo driving in the city. And for vroom vroom purposes, a manual transmission should be mandatory.

Europe and USA rates the Elantra N higher in almost all Youtube reviews I guess the driving experience is different for every country.

Type r is type r. History and experience is there :)

But with the price difference, Elantra N is ok.

Ika nga, you have to pay to play.

Btw - i'd still go for the FL5. Honda boy ako ever since hehe and kudos to Macoy. Naging fan nya ko with this video.

The Type - R is a better looking car and has the branding and history. The Elantra N is a better value proposition. The car stealerships up-chargethe Type-R even past the higher price tag. They even wanted 35k for an Si, which is 1k more than I paid for my Elantra N. For that reason I chose the Elantra N and I love it. I got past the looks and am very happy with the car. I will have it paid off after two years where I would be financing the Type - R for probably at least another year. Also, the Elantra N is under-tuned. With only a tune I make over 300 whp now. I don't think I am losing any performance. If I am, it is very little. These are two great cars, and a person can't go wrong with either fwd performance option.
