I think it boils down to the generation of which they grew up. My own grandpa who grew up in the same generation shared many aspects that Kim's grandpa acted on. Everything was their way or no body was happy in the house. My grandparents used to have roaring fights over his behavior. And nothing ever changed, until he died. Luckily my grandma got 19 years of peace without him before she passed away too.

So many men back then left families and never kept in contact with their kids..My father did the same ..He thought staying away until I was 18 wouldn’t matter..It did..I don’t want any contact from him..My mother was enough…

I’ve seen too many of these tracing your family history shows, and seen them discover things that weren’t known for years. I’m not passing judgment on George without a DNA test proving the 3 daughters were actually his.
