FRFR Shootout: Xitone Wedge vs. Atomic CLR

In this video I explain the features of these two FRFR solutions for guitar modeling applications and highlight my experience with both. Then I try to capture a bit of what it sounds like in the room with each one for your reference.

Thanks for posting this comparison video. There are surprisingly few like it. My question is what's the spread difference between the Xitone and the Atomic? I've been told the spread of the Atomic is outstanding and produces a super wide sweet spot but haven't heard anything regarding the Xitone. Thanks!

How is the Atomic CLR for bedroom volumes? Can you turn it down low for practice without disturbing the neighbors? I have an Orange TH30 and it's impossible to play at low volume.

everybody talk about the sound of the Atomic, but in this clip the XITONE sound WAY!!!! BETTER THAN THE CLR.

Accuracy is important to me.. so I don't have to readjust a whole lot or fight with the sound guy.

Nicely done. I have a Line 6 Helix, and am considering an Atomic CLR Neo as both a pedalboard and a complete stage rig over my current amp/pedalboard/monitor lineup. Too much stuff to carry! :) Anyway, I feel that the Atomic may give me more power over what I want to hear on the gig, as well as what goes to FOH.

Hi Kley, great demo! I am in the market for a FRFR wedge for home studio/small gigs with my AX8, I have seen many Atomic breakdown issues talked about on fractal's community page. Qtn- what rack system do you use and what model guitar rack you got there?

Great vid! How well do these hold up compared to a 412 cab volume wise? Say the clr vs a marshall 100watt head/412. Just wondering since i play in a cover band and the other guitarist uses a 5153 half stack.

Most players won't even be able to conjure tones from these expensive speakers that would make the difference in sound or warrant the price. I have an ALTO TS212 speaker and I get great sounds from it with an RP1000! Sound is partly in your hands and if you use your ears you can get great sounds out of just about any gear that is at least decent. Expensive gear won't make you great only practice will help with that.
