For sea creatures you often need to make the tap water safe first. Lobsters can survive a fair while without food, so I don’t think that’s what killed it. Could have been a mixture of stress, shock, water quality and possible inconsistent temperature that killed it. Maybe something bigger than a bowl would be needed, cut the binds on the pincers, use tap-safe or sm, salt it with salt from a pet store and not a cupboard perhaps, and purchase a thermometer. You’d probably only want to feed it after a good couple days anyway whilst it adjusts.
