Today I've got a great tip for you all that I am sure will come in handy!

In this weeks Two Minute Tuesday I walk through exactly how to use the bult in find & replace tool within AutoCAD. It's just like many word processors and can seriously save us a lot of time when editing/updating drawings! You can use it to find text throughout an entire drawing, including xrefs and layouts/paper spaces, as well as automatically replace text based on what you find. It's a great tool to know and I'm sure you'll like it!

Thanks, Brandon! That was very informative. In addition to what you've shown, the "List results" option can be helpful also. It allows you to see the found locations as a list instead of rolling through them one by one using the "Find" button. Once found, you can "Zoom to Highlighted Result" to see the actual text location by either using the icon on the right or double clicking on a line in the list.

Another great video Brandon! Keep them coming. Can you make a video on "Why I can't delete a text style" in Manager Text Styles? After selecting all text and ML and changing them to a different Text Style manually, finally Purging the drawing, that text that I want to get rid off it's still there. The text style maybe hidden in a block, but I am using a lot of blocks in the drawing. Please help.

How about this scenario for find/replace. I have a multiline text in a drawing, ie: BL xx, LOT xx, Parcel A, Area = xxx sf. or xxx ac. This text is stacked vertically with the Parcel A in the middle. If i want to get rid of the Parcel A line entirely.. how do I do THAT? I can find Parcel A and replace with nothing but it still leaves the space there. How can I completely remove the middle line from the text??

Is there a way to search for a "text" in every drawing in the project at once vs. opening each drawing individually and then use find to search for the "text" (a global search)?
