While her feelings are valid. She is looking at it from an entirely biased perspective.
Saying that consent NEEDS to be verbal, is wrong, it is definitely dishonest to suggest otherwise.
You can look up consent as a definition and see this

Consent is agreement or permission expressed through affirmative, voluntary words or actions that are mutually understandable to all parties involved, to engage in a specific sexual act at a specific time: Consent can be withdrawn at any time, as long as it is clearly communicated.
Keywords there being 'affirmative, voluntary words or actions'. Actions. Reciprocated actions by definition and most importantly, legally...is consent.
Consent was never withdrawn, and it was definitely not clearly communicated.
While Brooke may be upset at the situation, people should understand that SA being a sensitive topic for her, may lead to her having a skewed perspective.
Like I said, her feelings are entirely valid...but she is definitely not looking at it from a neutral perspective and an understanding from both sides.

i don’t understand why anyone is blaming George or saying his response was shit. his response had PROOF that Katie was lying about some of the things she said. and if she lied about that stuff then what else could she have been lying about? her actions to what he was doing (laughing smiling, going along with it) was her consent. you don’t always need verbal consent.
if she regretted it the day after it happened then ok that’s fine! but she still allowed it to happen that night, she still went along with it and talked to him days after it happened, sexual assault is when you tell them no or your ACTIONS are trying to push them away or move away from them or anything that shows you don’t want it and they STILL do it to you! that’s sexual assault.
she agreed to it that night and didn’t push him off which means it was not sexual assault at all.
and the fact she tried to make it seem like George and Dream forced her and her friends into drinking more is ridiculous when George showed proof that THE GIRLS asked to drink more and play the drinking game.
don’t act like you were sexually assaulted when you and everyone there that night knows you were not, because that is not something to lie about especially when there are real victims of sexual assault in the world.

WHY is it making her uncomfortable to see people defend themselves?? Why is it that every time I see one of these allegations people side with the victim(s) immediately and don’t even wait for another side of the story, and when they do have the other side of the story they don’t care and continue to side with the victim. This is why most people are quitting YouTube, this can be a sick sick place sometimes. I’m not saying all people are quitting YouTube for this reason but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re quitting because of the toxicness that the internet has provided us. In my opinion, this case should have stayed private instead of Cati trying so bad to cancel George when she didn’t even talk to him first. This makes no sense at all. I feel so bad for George, and Dream too. regret and assault are two completely different things.

I still don't consider George to be the rapist He is being portrayed as.
He provided some evidence and facts about which that girl (sorry, I don't remember the name) kept silent or distorted. Of course, it's bad that such a situation happened, and I'm sorry that she felt awkward and so on. but such an announcement is really serious.
I also want to say that, of course, it's not the first time I'm disappointed in people, but every time it's just as insulting as the first time. People from Twitter immediately attacked George, without even waiting for an explanation and a vision from the other side.

I think if you’re a survivor of SA which I am. You don’t come out and make a statement smiling and laughing with donations on. It took me about 4 years to come forward and tell even my own parents about it. I felt so ashamed and disgusted. In my opinion. This is what makes it so much harder for actual victims to come forward about their experiences. How are we supposed to when you have people like this. Clearly lying and changing their story to fit the narrative that they want to set.
