If I'm a light summer with cool undertones, why would I be looking for makeup/blush/bronzer with yellow undertones? Am I in the wrong category? Everything else about light summer seems spot on. Especially, because I tan gold and for some reason look great in pale coral - but makeup counters always tell me I have pink undertones in my skin. My hair is naturally ash and my eye color is blue grey to pale blue. Currently I have blonde highlights over the ash base in my hair color. Should I be in the spring category? So confused. Help.

I'm a light summer, but i very much have a cool/pink undertone so the yellow based foundations dont work so well for me! I used the palest neutral ones i could find for a long time, but i eventually found pale enough and cool enough foundation (:

I’m a recently typed light summer and the amount of analysts who say to wear cool / blue based eyeshadow - it looks awful on me, makes me look sickly 😵‍💫 so THANK YOU it’s reassuring to hear you say to avoid these tones on the eyes / stick with more neutral gentle & yellow based (personally I like to sweep a very light amount of my matte bronzer in the socket and swear a soft smudged taupe liner close to my lashes). X

Your presentation is done very well. I was surprised that the light summer leans toward yellow based undertones, but it finally makes sense as to why I bounce back and forth with cool tone foundations and neutral tone foundations. I am a neutral skin tone summer and think I fall closer to True Summer and mascarade sometimes as a light summer. 😃

I can’t figure out if I’m truly a light summer. My hair is naturally very light blonde with some ashiness and I’m fair with pink undertones so I automatically thought I had to be light summer. But my eyes are deep green/hazel/grey which throws me off. Should I consider another palette besides light summer? I’ve always been told I look washed out in pastels so I was shocked as hell when I started looking into this stuff 😂

Edit: I also LIVE in black and knew it doesn’t do me any favors… like 80% of my wardrobe is black. As I got older I realized how tired and old it made me look! I’m so late to the party!

Can a Summer have hazel/amber eyes? Most websites I go to list blues, grays and light greens for Summer. I'm neutral but lean cool (I have medium brown hair) and a lot of the Winter shades are either too dark or too bright for me. So idk what else I could be other than a Summer. The one I seem to fit best is the True Summer... except for my eyes.

I know a soft summer but she has really dry skin, so matte doesn't really suit her... why can't it be glowy?

Is it just me... or is my palette (soft summer) the most complicated? Like K can't just go for clear aggressive colors like winter or anything warm like autumn. I can't even go for anything muted and cold like true summer. It has to be a perfect combination of dark, light, muted and bright and cold and warm! I think soft summer is like in the middle of everything. That's why it's really hard to shop right as a soft summer. It takes a lot of balance

Isn’t Margot Robbie a spring? She is not a soft summer. Doutzen Kroes is a great example of a soft summer.
