I read that book to all six of my children. "I love you forever." And when they had children of their own, I bought it for each of them and sent it to them for my grandchildren.

Any dad who gets to do this please cherish it. I'm watching my daughter grow and have not had the privilege to put her to bed or read her a book. Quite possibly by the time I fight through court it will be passed. Point is some dad would do anything to just do the normal shit with their kids. A lot of us don't.
This feeling or act is completely foreign to some.
I can't tell if it breaks my heart still or just is a false goal to stay alive. Working on that part.

Not ok. You just got me all up and in my frels, i didn't sleep for months after having my baby just to watch her sleep so i wouldn't miss anything.... She's almost 9, im terrified of her growing up

I’ve worked nights every year of my daughters life. I’ve missed out on so many things. If anyone reads this- never take a single moment of your children’s time for granted because all too soon it’s gone.

It is so sad as a daughter I can remember the first two days it happened very first what is my dad had to work very late i am little and he has never not tucked me in and said goodnight I her stepmom so she was at the house with me she told me to go to bed so I get in the bed and I stayed up really late waiting for my dad to get home but I fell asleep before you returned
