But he says "this does not capture the essence of the people of Bangladesh .. just like when attacks take places on muslims in India it does not capture the essence of India or her people." In India, only one mosque was demolished, that too which was built over a demolished temple by the Muslim invaders.In recent years, there were numerous attacks on hindus and many hindu temples were demolished or vandalised by radical Islamist s groups in Bangladesh.This gentleman is knowledgeable and intelligent enough to understand the difference in situations prevailing in India and his own country but still he is trying to rationalise the entire incident as a student protest . This gentleman wants India to understand the psyche of a muslim majority Bangladesh but Bangladesh a minor country with a much smaller economy is not interested to understand the psyche of a hindu dominated country India What a logic??? I request our PM to talk tough with the people at the helm of affairs now in Bangladesh so that they don't take India's view for granted anymore . Also, let us allow Sheikh Hasina to stay in India as long as she wishes irrespective of what the people and present government of Bangladesh feel about it. Sorry sir don't compare the anti hindu killings and destruction of temples in BD with some stray incidents which happen in India ... remember very stray very rare...
But in BD Hindu population has been reducing...and at a drop of a hat Hindus are targeted ...agree it is a fringe which is doing it...but BD has failed the test most of the time that there is no arrest, prosecution and conviction of perpetrators of atrocities on Hindus...
So you need to prove to yourself that you you care for minorities and will take action...
Do it for your democracy
