I tried your method and the guy’s method that drove the stake in halfway and stuffed the weed barrier under it. I struggled with both and couldn’t get the wrinkles out of the fabric. I ended up stretching the fiber right, then laying the border on top and drive the stakes through, then trimmed the edge with a utility knife. That worked great.

Also, instead of drilling out the connector holes I coated the fasteners with dish soap, that lubes them up and they slide right in. Then when the soap dries it almost acts as an adhesive.

Some great tips. Wish I'd seen this before I put mine in. I installed this along the edge of my front flower garden 3 years ago. I've been real happy with it up until this spring. The rubber is starting to get brittle and crack. A couple chunks have broken off where my daughter accidentally stepped on it. Liked it but will be replacing with a different product that will last longer.

Use a few drops of liquid dish soap (like dawn or whatever kind you may use) in each pinhole before pushing in the pins it will be a big help to you on inserting the joining pins they will slide right in like a hot knife thru butter by hand with no fight at all :)

Might I suggest when cutting/hammering these together, ...a mild soap solution to slick up the blades of the saw and the pegs to attach the segments will work quite well.

6:57 "your head is cut off" lol, this is what my daughter tells me sometimes when she takes pictures for me, cracking me up. Anyways, it is great to have a helper to record how it really works instead of like some other guys holding it with one hand and camera dancing like crazy lol

Thank you, great video (and videographer) I am installing this now and finding it hard to make it into circles around my trees without big gaps I just tried gorilla glue on a few to see how that works, I've got them clamped for 24 hours. I will try using the DAP, but I think in a black color so it looks like the motor lines on the rest of the piece.
