Dáil Talk: Where are Ryan Tubridy and Dee Forbes and what is RTE's future after payments scandal?

RTE is facing one of the biggest existential threats to the organisation in many years.

Last week it emerged that Ryan Tubridy had received €345,000 in undeclared payments from the broadcaster.

Now the organisation is battling to get on top of the scandal and ensure that its future is not in jeopardy.

This week RTE execs were up in front of an Oireachtas Committee to face a grilling from TDs and Senators on the scandal but former Director General Dee Forbes was nowhere to be seen.

Ferghal and Louise recap the where the story began and where we're at now and ask what's next for the embattled state broadcaster.

Also it’s odd that Deloitte are getting off the hook … and why is rte not under the control of the auditor and comptroller general like other semi states ?? They would not have gotten away with a cent if they were.
