Mastering the order of operations is crucial for solving mathematical problems accurately. This tutorial provides a comprehensive walkthrough of the foundational principle, often remembered by the acronym PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction). But what happens when multiple operations appear in one expression? How do you prioritize? We'll break down numerous examples, ensuring clarity at each step. By the end, viewers will gain a solid understanding, enabling them to approach any mathematical problem with confidence. Whether you're a student seeking clarity or someone brushing up on basics, this guide will make the order of operations feel second nature. Join us and elevate your math skills!

I always thought algebra was difficult, but it really isn't if you simply follow the steps. It's true all the way thru algebra 1 so far.

Mr flints you introduced your own brackets (2*3) which was not in the question. Nothing wrong with pemdas just that I use my own recipe PEMA.

PEMDAS is not always correct, as in 6/2(1+2)= 6/2*3=9 is considered wrong, the answer is 6/(2*3) or 6/(2*1+2*2)= 6/6=1. (The equation as written is poorly written.)

the question is why ? ... why change the order of operations? why not write the sum in the correct order ?
it seems as though you maths is made up !!! and has no sense to it?
