'I LOVE IT!' - @davecamyt Tests iRacing's 2023 Season 2 Content

With a new iRacing build arrived and new content to jump into, it’s a safe bet to assume that Dave Cam is going to give it all a once over to let you know what it is all about. Sure enough, Dave has managed to get his hands on the new road content and has his immediate thoughts for us in today’s video.

There are three new cars, one of which is the oval short track racer that is the Late Model Stock. The Ray Race Cars Formula 1600 and the Renault Clio Cup cars, on the other hand, are two entry level road racing machines that have a ton of potential amongst the iRacing family of content. 

This Formula 1600 has no wings, so the downforce is scarce. Dave is taking this out to the Indy course Brands Hatch to see how the newest open wheel single-seater gets on. Over at Donington, Dave is whipping out the Clio for a track day in the tin top tiny car. 

Speaking of tracks, iRacing also has a new road course that members can race on – Circuito de Jerez. While it’s more of a bike track nowadays, cars just seem to work here very well. Be sure to stick around to hear Dave’s thoughts on all the matter.

AMS2 Has 3 layouts of Jerez with chicane, Moto & 1988 been a favourite track for ages

Jerez is a iconic track from single seaters of formula 1 and gp2/gp3, with 3 drivers made the same quali lap in 1997, Nigel and Senna close finish

I also hope that iRacing has a race that involves both the Touring Cars and the Renault maybe. Because touring car already doesn't have greatly populated races. Maybe this can help them both.

Honestly, once you get into the higher splits, even the Rookie series are fun as hell. So, I’m looking forward to trying the new Formula car in the Rookie leagues. 👍

I had a 1991 Clio 16v, so just becuase of that I'm going to give it a whirl. Looks very fun, jut like IRL.

FWIW, the FF is much much faster than the Skippy; it's not between the Skippy and the Vee

the Ray is awesome, feels like a faster formula vee but with a bigger learning curve and challenge
