Patient attacks female intern at SVIMS; doctors demand better security

Junior doctors and students of Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women staged a protest on Sunday after a female intern was attacked by a patient in the casualty ward of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) in Tirupati on August 24 evening.

Where the fuck are all these doctors when someone died due to negligence of a doctor in a private hospital and his/her relatives are denied to even see the deceased before paying up the fees. Why were they silent when someone is not treated properly in a govt hospital and died.

I found her idea of workplace safety vague in situation faced. Putting proper checks at entry fine. But what kind of safety is she expecting when a patient suddenly attacks, this can happen anytime in any profession. It is an anomaly. Also her letter was a bit hypothetical too.
The patient was suffering from epilepsy, he's definitely of unsound mind. What can you expect from that patient. Also the female doctor was immediately saved by the other doctors.
