Christians that are focused on "don't do this and don't to that" are completely missing the point. Christ was much more focused on the things we are NOT doing than the things we ARE doing.

You want a redeeming aspect about Halloween? Okay. Back when I was a wee lad, me and my fellow school chums would be given UNICEF boxes by our school so that we could collect money from the various houses that we’d trick-or-treat at which would then be donated to global humanitarian causes. Years later, when I was in university, a church group I joined would run a food drive on Halloween wherein we would go door-to-door asking for nonperishable food items to donate to the local food bank. Running this drive on Halloween was most logical as most people were home that night anyway. Any questions, class?

Actually, Halloween is a Christian celebration. The Church established that the New Year's Eve of the recently converted celtic tribes should be turned into tve All Saints' Eve. So at least at its roots, it was deeply Christian.

Anyone worried about Halloween is not putting enough of their faith in Christ. Same goes with movies, games, books - Christ is way beyond the basic of these evils. We’re all evil so ultimately that’s why we need Jesus.
