Met Vinnie on a flight from San Diego to Florida along with Ronnie Dio both nice guys very outgoing. We had a great conversation in Dallas on a layover. Ronnie even got me seats on the floor for his show in Hollywood, Florida just a great memory. I was in the Marines back then 1982 or 1983.

I saw Dio at a commercial low point. He played a theater that seated about 1K people. It was a f'ng awesome show though. He still put 100% into it.

I am sincerely happy that he was clear on how to pronounce his last name. I have often wondered about it.

Doubt Vinny remembers, but I taught him Networking Essentials at a Computer School in the late 90's. Drove him home one night and talked about the BS reunion tour. He is an awesome drummer and an awesome person.

I had the pleasure of playing at the troubadour in the 80s with his brother one night with a jam band for some buddy that was retiring and moving on. Definitely one of the highlights of my career

One of my favorite drummers. Period. Saw Dio on the Last in Line Tour in Hawai'i. It was like Rainbow and Sabbath had a lovechild. Such an incredible show. I will never, ever forget RJD's voice and Vinny's drums that night...

Went to a gig where Vinny got burnt when the dry ice machine blew up, stafford hall in Bingley UK in the early 80s, 40 mins break and at the end of the show it took 4 hours to drive 60 miles home when the snow set in .Would do it all again tomorrow.
