Best drum solo to date. No one has structured their solos with so much power and impact like Vinnie.

I can hear several parts that he did on the Live Evil album. I think he was a good replacement for Ward when he quit Black Sabbath during the Heaven & Hell tour. They had the similar playing style and drum sound at the time. The Mob Rules is a very good album, mostly because of Appice.

I love the kit Vinny's playing here. When I was a kid, I had his lesson book called "Rock Steady", and that exact Slingerland kit was featured on the cover. I can remember listening to the amazing drumming on the Holy Diver album and just staring at that cover for hours sometimes, imagining that I would be that good someday and have a kit as cool as Vinny's.

Born in 1983 and growing up this band is all my dad ever played iron maiden and pantera who remembers watching a live recording of dio and i remember it had this satanic statue in the back it was a differnt time man i miss these old bands

Dieses Drum Solo durfte ich ein einziges mal live erleben. Auf dem "Monsters of Rock", Messegelände Nürnberg. Ich glaube 1987 oder 1988. Und das habe ich als noch deutlich länger in Erinnerung - eher ca. 15 Minuten. Unvergessen für alle Zeiten. 🤘
