I have had my 9Barista about two weeks, and I think I am getting better at it.

I use single-origin coffee, freshly roasted, and I grind it with a Niche zero, set on number 12.

after 3 weeks of owning the 9B - I've enjoyed more espresso than I have drunk in the previous 30 years.
Still not sure if that's a good thing-;)

The niche zero steel thingy that u grind into can actually fit perfectly into a porta filter, so place the porta filter on top and flip it for less mess ;)

Your timing perfectly nails what's mentioned in the instruction menu!
You can shorten the time by heating up the group head while grinding and tamping your coffee, if it is consistently about 4 min.

I use the same procedure and with the Niche Zero, setting 18. What setting do you use?

This extraction has lots of crema, for some reason I’m not getting crema on my extractions y tried many different coffees and nothing any advice ?

Thanks for posting. What ratio are you getting? It seems that most people end up with ~40g or just over of liquid.

Im having trouble with mine.
I hvae got the total time on the stove within the 3 to 6 min range but extraction is always really fast, like under 15s. I have been grinding the recommended 18g using comondante c40. Recommend range for espresso is 10 to 15. I have tried even as fine as 8, with no effect. I tamp quite hard probably more than 5kg of force. Idk would tamping too hard cause it to extract too quickly?
I going to try 20g @ 14, 6, and maybe even 18 and see if there is much difference, a little extreem but idk, I feel stuck.

I set the niche to 0 mark and the espresso wouldn't appear, instead the top head gasket starts venting water. Dialed back to 13, then it's ok. Still trying out the optimal workflow though
