Analytics have taken over the NBA, and every team dives deep into the numbers and stats to find the best way to win a game. Unfortunately, not every NBA player has benefited from this analytics movement. In this video, I talk about three players who've been left behind in the analytics movement.

I make all kinds of NBA videos which include trivia, player stories, rankings, conspiracies, mysteries, and 'What If' videos. Make sure to leave a like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video!

The Spurs have actually rebooted Rudy Gay's career. He's now one of the most efficient forwards in the league. His fg are at 55% and his 3pt is at 45%

In all honesty, with his basketball IQ, experience and defense, I'd pick Rondo over a lot of point guards in the NBA...

That moment when you realize most Golden State "fans" don't even know who Monta Ellis is. Lol

That Rondo one was a serious reach though lmao. Rondo's attitude and his off court antics are what got him in trouble. His skills were not a problem. Rondo had the bulls at 2-0 vs the Celtics. How can he be that big of a crutch but without him, they lost four straight, The problem with Rondo is himself.

Rondo had 25 assists last night. He's far from done

Rudy Gay leads the Spurs in steals, has a DRPM of 1.39, is the Spurs 2nd leading scorer with a usage rate of 24%. Might have to edit this video or redo another one about how the Spurs extend player's careers.

Didn't Rudy have really bad shot selection and creation, even before this? We've already known of his inefficiency at this point.

I once had monta Ellis layup package and was averaging 20 points then I changed it im now averaging 40 points

Monta was pretty solid and probably most efficient in Dallas. But from the eye test it just seemed all too often he would barely miss layups, miss open 3's and take hard shots. He made some spectacular layups and shots regularly but he just took a lot to make them. If he could channel that into a 6th man role and averaged like 13 off the bench with 4 or 5 assist then he would be best suited like that.

Honestly if Wiggins don't improve in the next couple of seasons he will end up like Rudy Gay.

The problem with Houston is that their style of play didn't translate against the spurs. You gotta take more then just 3s

For someone who's finished a master degree in statistics...those so-called analytics are all using descriptive statistics, which is the most rudimentary type of statistics someone can use. Nobody really knows how to do modelling, let alone complicated models for more accurate predictions. -____-!
