My uncle saw this before he passed. He was one of the American volunteer pilots that flew with the Brits. This made him roll. He was holding his gut. He couldn't stop laughing.

Historical fact. There was an RAF who had no legs. Joined in 1928, lost his legs in 31 in a plane crash, eventually rejoined. Had 22 victories during the war before being shot down and captured by the Germans, escaped. Recaptured and sat out the rest of the war in one of the toughest POW camps the Germans had. Total badass. Douglass Bader. R.I.P.

The way Stewie says "GHASTLY" just completes the video for me

"Bombs away!", is something that tells you the guy is British.

As a British person I can confirm this is the exact way the RAF recruits people.

RAF commanders always hold a football shaped flight helmet behind their back.

I think it's safe-to-assume that we DON'T export Family Guy episodes to England- at the risk of setting British/American relations back to 1812!

Uhh, Spitfire Mk IX's escorting Lancasters over German targets in daylight missions? Witchcraft!

Amusing thing I thought about this episode as a history nerd is that Brian, Mort and Stewie arrived in Poland, September 1939 when it was being invaded by Germany. They escaped to Britain and fought in the Battle of Britain which was July to October 1940. There were also some shots of a heavily blitzed looking London which didn’t start until September 1940. Meaning that Brian, Mort and Stewie must have been hanging around in WW2 Britain for at least a year before they had the chance to go home.

Having two family members who’ve served in RAF I’m saying this is quite accurate 🤣🤣

Goddamnit, every time. I see RAF and think, Family Guy once made a joke about Rote Armee Fraktion.
German problem ...

Wish my grandfather was alive to watch this. Probably would’ve laughed his ass off.
He served in the RAF during World War II even though he was American.
