Satire explanation: in Snow White, she sings softly to animals .. they made Fiona sing to animals too, but they made her voice too loud/obnoxious at the end that the bird exploded-that is satire. Also, she isn’t well mannered like most princesses are, since she burped out loud . They also mocked the fact that the princesses in fairy tales are always damsels in distress in need of a male hero rescuer, Fiona was rescued by shrek an ogre/monster instead of a handsome human prince, and the human blonde Prince Charming isn’t tall or handsome lol he ugly and short af + in the Robin Hood scene they reversed the damsel in distress concept and Fiona defended herself against Robin Hood+ they exaggerated her fighting abilities (4:38, incongruity: what’s out of place is her knocking a guy out with her hair that doesn’t happen in real life, 4:52 parody of matrix that pause in unrealistic she had time to fix her crown for crying out loud, 5:26 exaggeration: again mimicking matrix when the female walked on the wall, Fiona ran on a tree (again unrealistic) and knocked the man out )

Theres satirical elements in Shrek but I think is more of a parody, because ultimately its a celebration of fairy tales. If it had a sad ending or concluded true love didnt existed, then sure.
