My don’t dôme that often but when it does I love it.

I have not yet use any cake strips ever but most of the time when i bake there is no dome in my cake. I usually bake my cakes at 150-160°c for 35-40mins. Depending on the size and thickness, the timer maybe longer but same heat temp.

Would using baking/cake nails help prevent doming, since they’re helping the cake to cook more evenly in the middle?

I guess (if possible) we could cut that dome off, cut it in half from the top (to make 2 semi-circles), put it together with filling and cut a curve from the edge to make a crescent shaped cake.

To stop the problem just stop baking the cake at 180° to 165° and the cake will not have a dome

Cake dome is a good thing, Mine just never rises, No matter what ever I use, ENO, SODA, They just never RISE!!!

if your cake don't dome you made it wrong, a cake that didn't dome is dense
