Old Master troubleshooting. Awesome camerawork as well. Those skinny pliers were actually pretty sturdy during the exhaust outlet bending.

That exhaust mod is good for at least 10hp on a turbo diesel. Love the sense of humor! Can't wait for next episode.

The smile on your face puts one on mine. I hope that test drive is a good one!

Even though you’ve done this multiple times before this stuff never gets old 🙌

I saw you fixing the dent on the exhaust… I’m also that picky with mine… Now if you use the Rustoleum Professional high performance enamel spray in ALUMINUM COLOR, it makes the exhaust look like new and stock!!!
I have 4 diesels, 2 alh mk4 TDI’s a mk5 BRM TDI and a Jaguar XE 20d AWD, and I’m also very familiar with the Mercedes diesels.

Love to watch your channel, always learning something! ❤

Blessings!!!

perfect that the fuel tank filters and tubes have been replaced. We all like museum pieces, but I really also like cars that are mechanically sound, but look a bit lived in. I really like this one ! Greetings from Prague, CZ

That shifter bushing install tool works great! I was struggling for like 2 hours trying to seat them in their without it. With your tool literally took 5 minutes to install on my W116 300SD

Love the w123 series and the colour palette used - surely extra 10 mph after exhaust tweak - well it certainly looks better 🎯👏

Kent, Old Spence was definitely worth saving. Most of this work is DIY-able. A long road test will be good for this car. Loooking forward to the next instalment. Have you ever considered featuring the W204 on your channel? I consider it to be one of the best modern Mercs and it was the best selling Mercedes model.

Interesting video! I’m curious about it’s on road performance!

Great for old Spence!! Imo a little silicone on the plastic part of the bumpers would make it 'lit'

That brake bleed sequence was interesting. I was unsuccsessful when I tried that on my first 240D years ago. Somehow it went wrong and I ended up with a floppy clutch pedal which I was unable to fix. I think for that reason alone I'd prefer autos which don't have a link between the clutch and the brake system.

Awesome! I love how much you know about these cars. I have a couple W123s myself, and am currently fixing a 300TD that had gasoline put in its tank once. Do you think it's worth saving? I got it running now, but it still needs a lot of work to be done. Should I keep going or just quit?

One thing that has me thinking is these rockauto master cylinders for the break system. Are they any good? Seen very mixed opinions on them. From a personal experience way too old break fluid is not healthy for the car breaking system. People rarely change then at all.

Hello. Can you assist or recommend where to get a 1997 w140 S280 instrument cluster. Thank you.

How about vacuum bleeder? I have both pressure bleeder and vacuum bleeder, so what do you recommend for use? Thank you.
